LTIWET & PH OF WATER

pH can be considered to be an important parameter for the water technology industry for some reasons. It is true that pH should be an important parameter which should be addressed for the drinking water. However, pH could not be an issue with LTIWET for some of the industrial applications:

What is to be premised:
  • As pH goes up and alkaline increases (particularly in higher temp.), Calcium scale is more likely to be formed.
  • As pH goes down and acidity increases (particularly in lower temp.), Silica scale is more likely to be formed.
  • As pH goes down and acidity increases, corrosion is more likely to happen.

HOW LTIWET CAN MAKE PH LESS IMPORTANT ?

In conventional or old-fashioned water technology, pH has been considered to be one of the most important parameter for the issues of scale formation and corrosion. Therefore, multiple chemicals have been fed in each process of the industrial application.

For example, for the boiler application, anti-scalant chemical which can bring down pH of water and other chemicals for antioxidation are fed in the process.

LTIWET can address both of scale and corrosion issues without regard to pH for the following reasons:
  • LTIWET can remove the ultimate cause of the scale formation by changing ionized minerals like Silica and Calcium into the totally different particles, i.e. tiny soft colloids. As the result of it, the formation of scale cannot happen irrespective of pH.
  • LTIWET can change FeO2 into FeO4 so that rusting or corrosion can be restrained irrespective of pH.
